If you post it, it will come...I think that's what I said...

Well guess what it came...last Thursday

I had a vicious migraine that day but it wasn't going to stop me from setting this little beauty up.

Having an itunes account already and especially already having an iPhone made this process super easy.  It did take awhile to upload all of my apps, music and movies and initially I had some problems with it working properly but I took it down to the local Apple store on Friday to have it looked at and the tech Josh (so nice) helped me out a lot.  He advised re-installing everything like it was new, he felt something may have gone wrong during the initial set-up.  He offered to switch it out for me right then but I didn't want to because of this...

I waited 4+ weeks for this to arrive because I wanted it engraved.  I really didn't want to have to wait another 4 weeks for another one to arrive and if I took an exchange it wouldn't have the engraving.  Anyway, I took it home did what Josh the tech said and after a few hours of playing around with it, it works perfectly now. 
I've had a blast playing with all the cools apps and games, this is an app (Holler Gram) that gives you screen images that you can upload to twitter or anywhere else, also useful for taking silly pictures.

The only problem is I have to share with this one, she thinks its hers.  In fact yesterday when she came downstairs the first thing she asked Larry was "where's mommy's ipad?"  She really likes her new Dora game that I downloaded for her.

Blog Posts

Today was just like any other day at the gym, I did some work on the treadmill with Larry right next to me and Simone where she always wants to be, in the kids Play Center.  I started out listening to one of my favorite scrapbooking podcasts and when it was over, I switched over to my 'gym' playlist on my iPhone. 

This song came on by Florence + The Machine from Eat, Pray, Love. 

I really liked that movie, it spoke to me and I understood the journey.  Not that I feel the need to abandon my life and take off for a year, but I appreciated it and it made me think.  So much so that while I was listening to the song, I started thinking about two blog posts that I had recently read.  Two that had equally touched me and rocked me to my core.  Blog posts that made me want to write and tell a story as well as these two ladies.  Blog posts that reminded me to pay more attention to how lucky I am.  Blog posts that reminded me not to sweat the small stuff, instead to embrace the bigger picture.  Blog posts that made me want to scoop up my 'perfect' child and thank God for how lucky I am.  Blog posts that still even on a treadmill make me cry.

I hope through my blog posts my family knows how much I love them and how much they really mean to me.  After all, that is why I'm here, to document the journey and tell the stories, hopefully as well as others.

Toddler Time Easter Party

Simone's class had a field trip to Elk Grove Park today for their Easter Party, they will be off next week for Spring Break.  Simone woke up and told Larry, "this is the best day ever!"  Someone was very excited about her party at the park.

They had a chance to decorate cookies, so guess who wanted to eat hers right away...

They had a chance to hunt for eggs so Ms. Susan explained to all the kids that they could pick up 6 eggs.  Simone took off running and it was pretty funny trying to chase after her and take pictures.  Needless to say they didn't come out but she had her 6 eggs in no time.  I had her give some to the smaller kids who were having a hard time getting to the eggs fast enough.  Ms. Miryam sure spread the eggs out in a pretty wide area so there were kids running everywhere.

At the end of the party we gathered all the kiddos for a group shot with Ms. Susan and Ms. Miryam

In the car on the way home Simone asked when she could go back to the park and find more eggs.  Luckily for her our club is having a pancake breakfast and Easter egg hunt for the kids next Saturday.  She just has to wait until then.

The Waffle

Around here Simone is on a "I do it myself" kick and that includes making her own breakfast.  First she gets her step stool, gets the syrup from the pantry and heads over to the freezer to find her waffles.



Then using the step stool, pushes everything over to the toaster.

Unloads the step stool

and starts to climb

 Opens the waffles

Gives mom a look of "I can't believe your taking pictures of this"

Checks for freshness

Hides behind the waffle because all this picture taking is getting a little annoying

Inserts the waffle into the first slot

Turns the dial to 3

Then climbs down scurry's back to her chair to watch Dora and let Mom and Dad finish the rest.  Oh and I want the pink cup please and no I don't want the blue plate I want the pink one.
