Kelly Purkey Shop │ November Release

Well hello there! I'm super excited to share with you the projects I made with Kelly Purkey's latest shop release. I really loved the A Little Bit of Magic main kit this month, its going to be perfect for the holidays but it was also super perfect to help document a trip we took that has nothing to do with the holidays.

I knew right when I saw the stamps that these would be perfect to document a trip to Universal Studios, especially to the Harry Potter section. My daughter is obsessed with all things Harry Potter these days and getting to see it again with a friend was even better.

I used the new small Sullivan Street alpha stamp set for my title card and paired it with a few of the stamps from the main kit. I love how the layers of stars turned out.

I always love to stamp with white ink on dark photos and my go to ink is Brilliance Moonlight White. It pops of the page so well when stamped on dark colors. I plotted out my text really small on the center journlaing card and then stamped the text box after it was printed.

I loved the bold titles that are included in this stamp set this month and had to use this one on top of my photo of the castle. It truly is a magical place. The lightning bolt was cut out of glitter paper and layered on top of some black to create the shadow. The star journaling card is one from the kit and I loved the  hand drawn stars.

My next project was a spread in my Travelers Notebook. I was lucky enough to have a chance to spend a few hours with a fellow creative team member Krista Wells recently and the Let's Get Crafty stamp set was perfect to help document the day.

Hands down my favorite stamp in this set is ask me about my stamp collection! All the LOL's and Heart Eyes for that one!

I needed a little something extra at the bottom on this side of the page and since our food was quite epic I added in the emoji strip from the The Crazy Ones stamp set. I love that stamp!

There was also another alpha stamp set that I haven't used yet called Orchard. Its a really pretty script font that I'm excited to use.

Make sure you also check out the Winter Memories Travelers Notebook kit. I immediately fell in love with the bright bold colors and papers in this kit. Ann-marie Espinoza designed this kit and its beautiful.

Kelly has also added digital files of the papers, cards and stamps for her December Kits so if you love working with digital files, make sure you grab those to pair with your kit or to just use on their own.

December Daily® 2016 │ Complete Album Walk Through

I cannot believe that its almost time to start another December Daily® album! If you are new to this project, Ali Edwards created the December Daily® concept and you can read all about it on her site right here. The project consists of a scrapbook album that documents the days leading up to Christmas and for some all the way thru New Years. This will be my 9th year doing an album so I thought it would be a good idea to do a walk through video for my YouTube channel of my 2016 album. My plan will be to share walk through videos of my 2017 album probably weekly as the project happens. I'll be sure to post the videos here as well as on my channel.

I'll be back closer to December to share some details about my 217 album but I typically do not create anything in advance so I won't be sharing any foundation pages. You can view some of my previous albums for some inspiration by using the search function or by viewing the labels on the right hand side. I haven't photographed all of my albums because some were made before I was blogging, but you can see the last six albums here on the blog.

I hope you enjoy the video.

YouTube │ Jumping In

So I blame my little unboxing videos, but I started a YouTube Channel for my blog, crazy! Its fresh so I'm still learning and trying to figure out how to get good lighting, making sure everything is in the frame and basically speaking without saying um. My plan going forward is to hopefully share some more videos like this but also share some of my albums and definitely some tutorials. I doubt I'll share process videos because my process isn't really conducive to that type of video. But I'll figure out a way to at least share what I make on video as much as possible. If you feel like subscribing that's great, but I will more than likely share all of the videos here on the blog too.

Now as far as this video goes, I made a recent purchase of some supplies from Scrapbook.com for my December Daily® album so I thought I would try and share a haul video. You can click to watch it below and if you decide you want to subscribe you can find my channel here.

Here are the links to the items I shared in the video, I hope you enjoy it.
