Featuring Studio Calico │ Wild At Heart June 2019

Hello, hello, hello! How's summer going for you so far? We are still in school for about two more weeks but oh man its been so hot its hard not to chuck it all and run to the beach! The Studio Calico Wild At Heart kits were so much fun to work with and really got me excited for all the summer fun we are going to have this year. Looking back on photos from the early days of last summer really helped put me in the mood. Oh and if you head over to the SC website you'll see a project I made last year on the homepage of the site, pretty cool!

There was so much good stuff to work with this month so I can't wait to share it all with you. I ended up making three travelers notebook spreads and one documenter spread with the kits and add on stamps so lets get to it.

First up is a Travelers Notebook spread using the Notebook Kit only. This kit was so awesome to work with and I especially loved the transparency sheets they included this month. The alpha stamp set was pretty awesome too. I used the transparency sheet to create a turn able overlay on top of my large photo by hinging it with the washi tape that came in the kit. I made my own vellum tags and stamped my title with the stamp set and made another tag to layer underneath with the story. This quickly became one of my favorite projects this year.

My second and third projects were made with the Notebook kit and the add on stamps. I can never say no to Tacos and the Taco add on stamp set was just so much fun to use! The tiny little food items were so much fun to stamp, color and fussy cut as embellishments on the page. And the bright colored sentiments pre-printed on the notebook page was the perfect accent for this delicious meal.

Pizza is another thing that we love in our house and my husbands home made dough is worth celebrating. For this spread I used the Notebook kit and the Pizza stamp set which was the perfect accent for this spread celebrating how much I love his pizza.

Last but not least was the spread I made using the Documenter kit. I could not get enough of the beautiful malachite color green in the kit and pulled all the green I could to add to this spread. I even took it back to the old days by making a flip up card to maximize the amount of cards I could us and as a place to hold the story of Father's Day.

I hope you enjoyed the release and that these projects give you some inspiration for your future projects.

Take care,
