In the meantime there was a new release over at Kelly Purkey Shop at the very end of the year and I had so much fun creating with everything that I wanted to make sure I jumped on to share it with since they were projects that I really loved making. Two of the three kits did sell out but I'm hoping some of what I am sharing will give you a little inspiration on ways to use them.

The first project I made was for my December Daily® album. My friend and I took our kiddos to a holiday market and there was a guy dressed up as Buddy the Elf. He was suuuuuuper tall and was just the funnest person to be around. He really made the event fun and was more than wiling to snap some cute pics with us.
I used the Richard alpha stamp set to create the base layer for this side of my spread. I love the boldness of this alpha so I hope it sticks around for awhile. It's perfect for creating titles on pages.
The main kit this month was called Details of the Day and this was the stamp set that was included with the kit. Kelly truly is the master of creating interchangeable stamp sets and this set allows you to make custom journaling cards based on your needs. I paired it with typed journaling that's easy to achieve by first stamping your base layers and then either typing write over it with a manual typewriter or scanning it into your computer and then adding in the typed text. You can obviously also hand write your text but in this case I had a lot to include and can't write that small.
I also used one of the Hello, There speech bubbles as an accent on this side. I love these speech bubbles. I'm so glad Kelly brought these back again.
My second project was a travelers notebook spread for the New Year. Sadly the Fresh Start Travelers Notebook Kit and the 2018 Mini Kit have both sold out. They were such great kits. I hope this spread gives you a little inspiration on what you can do with it. I love the millennial pink in the Fresh Start Travelers Notebook kit and if you are interested in working with printables, you can get the papers for the TN Kit right here. I used two of the papers as my base and on the left I typed up my goals for the year. I'm not super rigid about yearly goals but I do like to at least set some down in writing so that they are in the back of my head guiding me throughout the year.
I loved the stamp sets in the 2018 mini kit and used several of the sentiments on this spread. I created the photo booth strip myself using a digital template that I've had for years. I just shot a series of selfies and then edited them pretty severely and made the black and white for a more legitimate feel. I love how this turned out and it was super fun to make.
I added in another of the speech bubble stamps from the Hello, There set and called it done.
I hope you're year is off to a great start and that most importantly you are healthy! I never like starting the year off sick so I really hope this isn't an omen for the year ahead.
I'll be back soon to share all of the pages of my December Daily® album and hopefully get a walk through filmed as well.
Take care!
Sending you "GET WELL WISHES" Barbara! Sorry to hear you've been under the weather. Optimistic this will be the only time your ill for a while.
ReplyDeleteLoved the post and look forward to seeing the final pages of your December Daily when your better.
