Featuring Kelly Purkey Shop │ November Shop Update

Hello everyone, its hard to believe that tomorrow is December 1st! Its crazy how quickly November went and I'm a little sad to see it go. The good thing is that the next month is the height of my creative year and I cannot wait to document our December days. Not to put the cart before the horse I need to share with you the projects I made using the Kelly Purkey Shop November releasee. I made three projects this month so I have a lot to share.

The first project was a quick travelers notebook spread I made using the Cobble Hill alpha stamp set. We went to Hawaii in November so I have a lot of photos to document. This spread using my 6 favorite photos and a lot of journaling.

The journaling for this spread is much longer than I typically do in a travelers notebook spread but I used the text I had shared on two Facebook posts while we were on the trip. The first paragraph is mostly about my feelings of being back in Hawaii and the second is a recap of the trip. To frame the title work I did using the Cobble Hill alpha stamp set I used stamps from the 365 Days and the Best of the Best main kit.

I added just one stamp to the left side on top of one of the photos and its from the Best of the Best main kit. I love how the white ink looks against the blue sky.

My second project was a 6x8 spread documenting some of my November favorites. I used pieces from the Feel It All mini kit and stamps from the Stay Warm stamp set, 365 Days and the Best of the Best main kit.

I really loved the painted floral card and especially love it paired with my rose photo.

I loved the binge watching stamp from the Feel It All mini kit.

My last project was a quick spread that I made using some photos I took on our walk to school the other morning. Fall is so late here but its just so beautiful I had to capture the amazing colors of the leaves. I used the Winter is Coming travelers notebook kit and some cards and a stamp from the Best of the Best kit and I punched the cute little faces from a paper from the Feel It All mini kit.

I loved how all these layers turned out.

And the cute little emoji faces!

I hope you enjoyed the release and I know some of the kits have sold out but there is still lots of great stuff left.

I'll be back soon as I start documenting December, I cannot wait!!

Take care,

Featuring Kelly Purkey Shop │ October shop update

Hello everyone! Its November, how the heck did that happen. I swear getting ready for Halloween took all my energy and now its only nineteen days until Thanksgiving. We even went out this morning for our first holiday Starbucks drink and turned on some Christmas music for the drive. I really need to stop and catch my breathe, hopefully I can do that this weekend in between soccer games.

Last week was the latest Kelly Purkey shop update so I wanted to share the projects I made. One is Halloween related and one is Christmas related so perfect timing on both.

I'll start first with the Halloween project. This project was completely built around the Louise alpha stamp set. I really wanted to type a bold title for this project because I loved the stamp set so much. Plus it was another great excuse to work with last years Halloween photos because hello Platform 9 3/4 stamp set!

For the title I wanted to highlight two of the letters because when Hermione says this line in the movie she really emphasized the vowels. Because the alpha stamps were all the same size I stamped out the letters and then scanned them into my computer. I imported that file into my Silhouette and enlarged the letters and then cut them out onto one of the travelers notebook papers. I love how they popped and also loved the added pop of color it brought to the page.

I stamped a few of the accent stamps from the Platform 9 3/4 stamp set and especially love the burst I added to the top of my daughters wand. I used gold embossing powder to make it stand out even more.

My second project was an absolute joy to work on because I love the sentiment behind the Cookie Club mini kit so much. Holiday baking is a big deal in our home so I really loved this kit. I shared on Instagram that I plan to replicate this whole spread in my December Daily® this year when we get to cookie day especially because the red papers from the Thankful travelers notebook kit are just so perfectly Christmas.

Making the layered tags was my favorite part of this spread. I used the digital paper to create the large base tag and then stamped the sentiments using the mini kit stamp set and the bold title with the Louise alpha stamp set.

My second favorite part of this spread was digging thru the past eight years of Santa cookie making and marveling at how fast my daughter is growing up. Making photo strips is always the best way to get a lot of photos into a spread and I just love this. Stamping the little gingerbread man and the heart cookie was so much fun. I plan to stamp up some more cookies during the holidays too.

I hope you loved this release and I'll be back to share more soon.

Take care,
