Featuring Ali Edwards │ July Projects

Hello there! I hope you are all having a nice summer, I can't believe tomorrow is August already. July seemed to fly by while we stayed home for most of it.

I wanted to share my July projects I made using Ali Edwards kits and products with you. First up is a pocket page spread I made using the August Stories by the Month kit. I loved the mix of blues and greens and used the kit to document a really short 24 hour stay in San Francisco last year.

Next up is a full 9x12 layout that I made to slip into my pocket page album and I used the Roam Story Kit for this. I loved all of the embellishments in this kit and it will be perfect to add to my supplies for travel. The colors were gorgeous and I had fun playing with a stack of chipboard and banner strips down the left of my photo.

Lastly is a notebook spread I made using the July Digital Stories by the Month kit. I resized and recolored the journaling card on the right so the colors would match the fade on the left and I love how this turned out. The center image on the right lifts up and has another photo and my story.

I hope August is a great month for you and I'll be back to share some more things in the next few days.

Take care,

Featuring Ali Edwards │ June projects

Hello friends and hello July! I am personally really hoping that this month doesn't bring any new crazy surprises and that things start to level off. While I really want things to be back to normal I realize we have some ways to go so its baby steps over here and we're taking things in stride as best we can.

The good news is the creative fun still continues and I'm here to share the projects I made for Ali Edwards this past month. First up is a pocket page spread I made using the July Stories by the Month kit. I really loved the bright pops of yellow and the floral cards were just gorgeous! I had fun overlapping some stamping underneath the oval die cut on the title card and really loved how that turned out.

Next up is a project I made using the Kindness Story Kit. I really loved that denim background on that beautiful quote card. I modified it to be travelers notebook sized and added in some journaling below the sentiment. I really loved the tones of this kit and the felt hears were so cute as were the copper die cuts.

Lastly was a spread I made using the June Digital Stories by the Month kit. I loved the sun journaling card and modified it to be travelers notebook sized. I cut two so I could raise up the center section of the sun and that circle paired well with the other circle embellishments in the kit.

Featuring Ali Edwards │ May Projects

Hello friends, I'm here today to share the projects I made using Ali Edwards products this month. Things are quiet here and we're really looking forward to getting out more as soon as the orders are lifted. We continue to be grateful for a home to shelter in and family to spend our days with. Documenting and continuing to take photos of how we are filling our days continues to bring me joy and creating things with the images is wonderful therapy.

This first spread was made with the June Stories by the Month kit. I loved all of the circle elements and used them to dance across the page. I used a little photoshop magic here to turn my vertical photo into a horizontal one by mirroring my image to span two pages. I love how this turned out and the wood veneer suns were my favorite accent.

My second spread was made using the May Digital Stories by the Month kit. I used a journaling card for my inspiration and turned the sections into digital frames to clip photos too. I have been asked to do a tutorial on how I did this so watch for a video very soon.

Lastly I made a 9x12 layout using the We Story Kit. I loved the bold graphic symbols in this kit and used a journaling card for the base of my page my enlarging it. I added some minc silver foil to a few elements to bring in some shine against the grey.

Featuring Ali Edwards │ April Projects

Hello there, I can't believe April is over, thankfully it went much faster than March, right! So happy the temps are warming up here and we're able to spend more time outside enjoying the sun and stretching our legs a little bit.

I had a great time working on April projects for Ali Edwards and I wanted to share them with you.

First is a pocket page spread that I made with the May SBTM kit. It was perfect to document two fun days in May, a girls brunch and Mother's Day with our friends. I love that pop of bright yellow!

Next up is a Travelers Notebook spread using the April Digital SBTM kit. I loved the daisy print so much I created a custom background to hold my photos. On the left side I adjusted the size of one of the journaling cards and cut a curved slit to make a pocket for my journaling. I just love this spread so much.

Lastly I used the Progress Story kit to create a tag mini album about my daughters first week of distant learning. I used the addon 3x8 tags as the jumping off point for this and created more tags from the jouranling cards to hold the story and photos and I just love how this turned out. I'm really glad I have a memento of this crazy time of distant learning.

Featuring Ali Edwards │ March Projects

Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing well and staying safe and healthy. Things have certainly taken a crazy turn since I was here last sharing projects. I have found some solace lately in creating so I'm hoping you are also finding some solace in your hobbies right now too. I hope these projects that I made in March bring you some inspiration and ideas and since its so quiet I plan to share some things I have made recently that I haven't had the time to share here. I send you all good wishes and please stay safe. Now for some creative distractions.

First up is a pocket page spread that I made using the March Stories by the Month digital kit. The colors of this kit were so great, I'm always a fan of bright bold colors so I was a fan. This spread covers quite a few days in March last year and it was fun to get these memories saved.

Next is another pocket page spread using the April Stories by the Month physical kit. This kit covers so much ground for April stories so I used it to document our Easter celebrations. I adored all of the floral elements and just loved embossing some of the stamps with Rose Gold embossing powder.

Lastly was a travelers notebook spread that I made using the Friends Story Kit. I used a combination of digital elements of the kit and the physical pieces too. I love mixing digital with physical stuff and really enjoyed printing the digital flowers on vellum to fussy cut out for dimensional embellishments. I will for sure do this again and again.

Sending you much love and good wishes during this extra crazy time!
