Featuring Studio Calico │ July Sunset Bay release

The Studio Calico Sunset Bay kits went live this past Wednesday and they are filled with so many great summery and tropical elements. I had so much fun creating with the kits and stamps so here is what I made.

First up is a pocket page spread plus and insert that I made for a trip to San Diego back in 2018.  I had held off on documenting this trip and I'm so glad I did because they released a San Diego City stamp set and it was perfect paired with the documenter kit. This is the main spread and the insert sits in between these two to hold more photos. I really loved the tropical leaf cards and of course the banana man was the cutest damn thing! I loved that I had the perfect use for him. I used as many of the cute phrases and icons from the stamp set on this spread and mixed them in where they worked and it was just the right embellishment.

Here is the insert. I wanted it to be clean that it was an insert so I folded back one row of photos and cut down one of the journaling cards to create a flag. I added in the stamped embelishment that I took the time to fussy cut along all of those points because I knew it would look better if I did, and it totally did. I added a clip and love that little accent.

Here is the front of the insert, that little seagull stamp, so cute.

And here is the back side. If you've ever sipped a Banana Daiquiri at the Hotel Del, you need this card and stamp set in your life.

Next up is a spread I made using the Notebook kit and the Stamp kit. I loved seeing the return of the Potty People on this stamp set! I really loved this set because there are so many possibilities for stacking and telling different family stories which is so great. I needed more of a preteen child then and little girl so I just stamped the woman stamp but made her a little shorter by masking off the bottom portion of the legs to more accurately depict our family.

I used the digital of the We Are Better Together phrase and printed that right on to my photo.

Lastly is a notebook spread I made with just the notebook kit. I really LOVED the acetate tags from that kit and used one to hold journaling that I slipped behind the sentiment in a little pocket I created. I tapped a glassine bag to the bag of the page to capture the tag when its slipped in so it wouldn't slide all the way thru the slit.

Take care,

Featuring Studio Calico │ June Full Bloom release

Hi friends, it feels good to finally be caught up on sharing my 2020 Studio Calico projects. The June Full Bloom kits launched last week so here are the projects I made with the kits and stamps.

First up is a documenter spread from last summer. I just loved the orange cards in this kit and pulled out as many as I could to use here. This spread covers just one day so it was really fun to load it up with all of my favorite photos and not have to edit them down.

I really loved that camera stamp and loved that you could fill the shutter with so many different things. My daughter really loved the star card that's sitting off to the left. She almost stole it from me because she said its a really popular TikTok pattern. I guess I'll have to save it to document her love of that app.

The Pool party addon stamp was perfect to document our first hot day of the season. I also used a printable tag to help highlight the stamping on the left side. I also left some space in my text block to stamp two of the designs with Moonlight White ink.

The Everly alpha stamp set is so pretty. I love the all cap italicized design and knew it was perfect for a title but wanted it to stand out more than just stamped letters on a page. I decided to stamp the letters on vellum and cut them individually so they mimicked a letter sign. I stitched the black cardstock pieces down after everything was in place and I really love the impact.

Have a great week!

Featuring Studio Calico │ May Chasing The Sun release

I'm just about caught up with sharing my 2020 Studio Calico projects and this post will share projects from May. These projects were so much fun to make so I'm happy to share them with you.

First up are the projects from May using the Chasing the Sun kits and stamps. I adore lemons so I really loved that title card on a spread of photos from this past June. They just scream happiness to me as do the other bright happy colors in this kit.

The stamp sub was perfect for documenting what its like out there trying to do something that used to be so easy, grocery shop.

There was a really fun addon stamp set that was perfect for documenting what our pool looks like this year. I just loved stamping, coloring in and fussy cutting all of the icons from this stamp set, especially the monstera leaves.

I have another post coming next week sharing my projects using the June kits that just released.

Featuring Studio Calico │ March and April

Hello friends, I'm back again playing catch up and sharing my Studio Calico projects. These are from this past March and April.

Here are the projects from March using the Fly Away kits. I created this spread using photos from January and added some of the digital files of the stamp sub to photos and cards.

The notebook kit was so pretty and the butterfly stamp was fun to stamp and fussy cut.

This addon stamp set from Paislee Press was perfect for documenting an amazing sunset.

Next up we have projects from April using the Color Me Happy kits. My fussy cutting adventures continued bit time in April as you will see below. The first project is a documenter spread and I paired it with photos from our Hawaii trip last November. That ocean card really spoke to me. As did the bright text cards.

The London Calling addon stamp set was perfect to document a tea party with friends. Stamping and cutting the images to create filler cards was a lot of fun.

More cutting of the cutest little instax frames on the stamp sub for a notebook spread.

Featuring Studio Calico │ January and February

I have been so bad about sharing my Studio Calico projects here so I'm going to play a little catch up this week to get back on trace and sharing.

First up are the projects I made using the January High Five kits.

First up is the documenter kit. This spread documents our 20th anniversary trip back to Disney-world where we went on our honeymoon. It was a great trip and a great kit to document it.

Next up is a spread made using the travelers notebook kit. I always love the mix of soft and pretty and bright and bold pages in the notebooks. It gives you plenty of opportunities to share a variety of stories.

Another spread using the notebook kit but this time its bright and bold layout. I used the stamp sub on this spread and love the bright pops of color.

Next up I want to share the projects I made with February's Full Heart kits.

The documenter kit was perfect to document things I was loving in January. I really loved the simplicity of the title card and I adored the Love List card.

I used the Stamp Sub and the notebook kit on this spread. I love a good little icon stamp and this set was perfect for sharing a few things that were happening in January.

I'm a sucker for a good black and white spread and when I can add in pops of pink, even better.

Thanks for being here!
